It was Marissa Meyer's who helped me. She came to Savannah on her SCARLET book tour. I knew her books were her NaNo novels beforehand so I asked how she felt about them, and she said she walked away for them for a couple of months too. But then she made herself sit in front of the screen whether she wanted to or not. This made me feel so much better.

I read Veronica Roth's blog too; her beginning posts from when she first started blogging are funny, crazy, and inspirational. I too felt bad about the age she landed her first book deal. She's much younger than I am. But I figure MY time will come, and even if it happens when I'm 100 and only have twenty more years to enjoy it, I will have left my mark and legacy for later generations of readers. Lol.Chris Dessonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12923699574241563330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8349951220371852137.post-4385275249267888962012-12-10T15:56:10.979-06:002012-12-10T15:56:10.979-06:00So here's what actually got me to write. I felt guilty that even my Sims could write and finish books when I couldn't even get myself to write. Therefore I wrote a couple of pages haha. Not a whole lot but it got me started again!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8349951220371852137.post-49287329492247956502012-12-10T10:11:33.347-06:002012-12-10T10:11:33.347-06:00Take courage, writer! Also, don't worry so much about getting published. That is only one aspect of a writer's career. If you are still writing, then you're doing your job.

When I need a push, I watch a favorite movie, read a favorite book, listen to a favorite song, and just generally soak in the brilliant work of others until I get so jealous I have to make something, too. :)Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15275131435052875319noreply@blogger.com
